As a result of adding Financial Literacy to the curriculum, engagement has increased 100%, with many students skyrocketing to the top 100 in California’s statewide, competitive National Stock Market Game. For the fifth time in a row, two of our 4th/5th grade students have surpassed elite elementary, middle, and high school students to place 1st and 2nd in the Northern California division of the National Stock Market Game competition. Low-income students defeated higher-income, better-resourced kids to dominate the San Francisco/Bay Area division of the 4th/5th grade National Stock Market Game for five consecutive trading seasons!
